About Me

My name is Iyabo Umar-Lawal and I am a Technology professional with over 25 years experience in various sectors including financial services and consulting. I am a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. I have consistently recorded successes in delivering hundreds of software application solutions, aligning project deliverables with key business results.

I had to resign hurriedly in Jan 2020 without another job to go to. The significance of that year was that COVID happened and it came with a lot of uncertainty. I then decided to use my time to complete my PMP certification. After earning my certification I started thinking “what next”…Even though I was looking for job opportunities I had a deep yearning for starting my own business/showcasing my skills but didn’t know how to. I came across a 12week Silicon Valley StartUp Accelerator Program on birthing a business idea as an entrepreneur.

I successfully registered for it, embarked on it and even started working on the business idea but unfortunately I had a health challenge after sometime and so I had to put the idea plus other career aspirations on hold.

I came out of the woods around Jan 2022 to realize that my recovery wouldn’t be overnight so I started searching for remote/hybrid work whilst also looking for ways to re-commence work on my idea. I wasn’t getting the kind of opportunities I desired so I then decided it was time for me to position myself well so I could showcase my skills/unique offerings & earn an income from it

I came across Coach Temi Ajibewa via a webinar & I knew immediately I needed to connect with her. She spoke a lot on how to bring one’s skills to live. I came across her Wealthier ME program and upon enrolling I mentioned why I was there. She mentioned the Sell Your Brand Challenge SYB & the Personal Brand Mastery PBM program and I made a mental note to join.

I undertook CTA’s PBM course and it literally gave me a new lease of life. I have been able to delve deep and highlight those superpowers of mine that I take for granted but people have complimented on for several years.
